Keeping Dubia roaches alive is simple. Here is how we do it.
These are the answers we give on the phone, in the same words. If something here does not match your setup, call and ask.
Start here
Never feed a bug wider than the space between your reptile's eyes.
Look at your reptile head on. Measure the gap between its eyes. A Dubia roach that is wider than that gap is too big, and a bug that is too big is hard to swallow. Measure first, then pick your size.
- 1Look at your reptile from the front.
- 2Find the space between its eyes.
- 3Pick a Dubia roach no wider than that space.
- 4When your reptile grows, move up a size.

What keeps your Dubia roaches going.
Heat is what kills them
Never leave the tub in a car, in the sun, or next to a heater.
Give them egg crate
Put egg crate in the tub. It gives them room to spread out and keeps them off each other.
They last
Dubia roaches keep going far longer than a cricket. One order lasts, so you are not buying more every few days.
Ask what we feed ours
We are happy to tell you exactly what our colonies eat. Call and ask.
Order on your reptile's rhythm
Reptiles eat on a cycle. Tell us your cycle and we will keep you stocked.

Still not sure
Ask us. We would rather answer than have you guess.
Gary has raised these for twelve years and has heard the question before. Tell us what you keep and how big it is, and we will tell you what to feed it.
